Bequests
Leave a Gift in Your Will
A gift in your Will is a meaningful way to help ensure Lifeboat Geelong can continue supporting survivors and families for years to come.
Since 2013, Lifeboat has provided practical support, advocacy and compassionate care to people affected by church-related sexual abuse. A bequest helps strengthen that work for future generations, ensuring the Foundation can continue responding to the changing needs of those it serves.
We encourage you to provide for your family and loved ones first. If, after doing so, you choose to leave a gift to Lifeboat Geelong, your generosity will help continue a legacy of care, dignity and hope for survivors and their families.
Types of Bequests
There are several ways to leave a gift in your Will, including:
- A residual bequest – leaving all or a percentage of the remainder of your estate after other gifts have been distributed.
- A pecuniary bequest – leaving a specific sum of money.
- A specific bequest – leaving particular assets, such as shares, property or other items of value.
Your solicitor or legal adviser can help determine the option that best reflects your wishes.
